2 sessions of art photography scheduled for...
I’ve now got two sessions of art photography scheduled for January 2012. :) The first one (14th January) will be an extension of the Medea series from earlier this year. The second session (30/31 January) will be a set of photographs recreating/working from Pre-Raphaelite paintings. Now I’m wondering if I can get a third session planned for January, since it looks like it’ll...
mercury1936 answered your question: setting myself an artwork target I think that sounds like a great idea, really the number should depend on how much time you can devote. I should do the same! I was thinking that if I set a number of pieces of artwork I had to do each month then I’d find the time to devote to the artwork. I waste far too much time watching TV or staring into space (or...
setting myself an artwork target
I think I’m going to set myself monthly targets for artwork next year - it’s the only way to force myself to create enough artwork. Is forcing myself to finish 4 pieces of artwork per month realistic? 1 piece of artwork could be 1 lino/wood-print, 1 set of photos etc What do you think?
Anonymous asked: take beautiful dark photos of me?
Anonymous asked: Hi, it's Emma-P here - just saw your forum post about this "ask" thread. You mentioned that you don't have a "proper studio" - do you do your photography at your home then? I've tried that but the background looks wrong x
Anonymous asked: I love that "early photograph" you just blogged. Any more from that series? Please post them too!

First Photoshoot for January
First photo shoot for January is now planned. I’ll be working with Alice (who modelled for this, this, and this) and we’re planning a set of photographs recreating/working from Pre-Raphaelite paintings. I’ve never been overly-fond of the Pre-Raphaelites, but I’m sure we can twist it into something darkly surreal. ;)
Creepy decaying dolls →
Just uploaded Françoise Duvivier’s new “Dementia Dolls” series to my website. Love this quote: The dementia dolls give me a feeling of old rituals, like being reminded of something ancient and buried-but also new and just born? Something beautiful, but hidden, a thing that should be buried in a grave, but has emerged to climb the trees. Strange. Spooky. Like a memory that...
Anonymous asked: fave music?
Anonymous asked: I love your pics of medea - is it medea from jason and the argonauts? a strange choice - I mean she's not a major character - but they look great :)
Anonymous asked: I'm thinking of being a life model to earn some money. What would I get paid? I'm in the north of England, so I think I'd be too far away to model for you unfortunately.

serpentskirts replied to your post: Interesting blog post from Amanda Palmer I think I’ve reached a comfort level with my body where this is something I would actually do. Or maybe I only mean it today, right this minute. Heh. Do it. As Mark Twain said: “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw...
Interesting blog post from Amanda Palmer
…encouraging people to be life models. http://blog.amandapalmer.net/post/13483286227/art-nakedness-museums-oh-my-warning-contains There can never be too many life models in the world! (I don’t think you’d be able to hold some of the poses in the photos she’s posted for long, though)
